Happy New Year!

One of the many benefits of living in Santa Cruz is the wonderful weather! This New Year's Eve my family went fishing off the wharf and had a great time just hanging out and enjoying our adopted hometown. Of course Becca, my (almost) 5 year old insisted on wearing her favorite suede boots and Gwennie, my little one was as crazy as ever. But, they both thoroughly enjoyed poking at the starfish that my husband got with his rod and reel. What a great way to end 2011.

Tammy's 40th Birthday!

Tammy is celebrating 40 days of birthdays!! I joined her on day 19 to shoot her big bash at Lilly Mac's in Sunnyvale. She really went ALL OUT! In true 80s fashion she had pop rocks, fingerlights and the rockin' 80s cover band, "Fast Times" (seriously, it was all I could do not run to the dance floor). Not to mention the bellydancer, fortune teller, photobooth, caricature artist, and awesome roaming magician. What a wonderful party..happy birthday Tammy!!

Nelson Family Portraits!

I spent Saturday morning with the Nelson family to shoot their holiday family portrait! Sooo much fun, I had a wonderful time. My most favorite shot is litte Travis with his mouth open..I think that was the moment when I revealed that a dinosaur was in my camera. Boy, was he surprised!!

Che loves Jaime...the weddng!

Everything about this day was stunning! The location, the couple, the reception, and all of the careful details. Che and Jaime chose the Corde Valle Resort in San Martin to tie the knot and it could not have been more beautiful. The weather cooperated and the sun was up for just long enough..going down shortly after we finished our portraits. Che's dad officiated which added a personal touch along with the meticulously decorated details handmade by Jaime.
I had such a wonderful time, what a wonderful day to spend a winter evening.
